Higher Education
The Carlisle area is a haven for higher education. Home to Dickinson College, Penn State Dickinson School of Law and nearby universities, Shippensburg U and Messiah College. Links for all the educational websites are found below. Dickinson is home to Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet in the summer.
Appalachian Trail
The Appalachian Trail is nearby and provides fantastic hiking and gorgeous fall foliage which generally hits peak season in mid-October. Kings Gap Environmental Education Center has varied trails to accommodate all levels of hikers.
Gettysburg National Military Park
